ESL Block – English as a Second Language
Literacy in English. The students learn to read and write at different levels of complexity with an increasing level of comprehension and fluency.
ESL from basic, intermediate to advanced reading, writing, and conversational skills. Participants learn to speak in a variety of situations and environments using increasingly challenging vocabulary and increasing language complexity with greater fluency and precision.
Reading Skills. The students read a variety of texts at different levels of complexity for a variety of purposes with an increasing level of comprehension and fluency.
Writing Skills. The students write in a variety of forms with increasing ease, accuracy, and complexity to effectively address specific purposes and audiences.
Conversational skills. The students become increasingly able to comprehend what they hear, to retrieve information, and to make inferences and connections. The English Language Leaners listen to speakers in a variety of contexts with a variety of English accents.

- Financial foundation educational program, the students learn how to make money work better for you, find and save more money, understand investments, protect, and preserve your money.
- Stress Management
- Enjoy life more. Emotions, thoughts, and behaviors can affect your health. Learn to recognize the sources of stress in your life, manage stress-related symptoms and illnesses, develop healthy lifestyle habits, and take better care of yourself.

- Nutrition is about eating a healthy and balanced diet. Food and drink provide the energy and nutrients you need to be healthy. Understanding these nutrition terms may make it easier for you to make better food choices.

Employment Track
This CWJC 15-week course is offered twice per year for women who have a desire to develop skills for employment. The purpose is to equip women for English as a second language, life and employment.
